I'm Anna and I live and work with donkeys in the Iblei mountains.

"Educating children to have a respectful and responsible relationship with animals and the earth means rediscovering a bond that belongs to every human being, even if it is often forgotten."

Anna Ignaccolo

After graduating in Forestry Sciences and working in the Abruzzo National Park, I returned to Sicily and began my career as an environmental hiking guide.
The encounter with the donkey in 2003 sparked the desire to live and work with this animal and work together.
What struck me about the donkey when I first met him, and what still fascinates and amazes me today, is his loyalty and his unique ability to connect with others, suspending any form of prejudice and mistrust.
In 2009 I got my first donkeys, with which I began working in the fields of education, excursions, and pet therapy. This is how was born Il Passo dell'Asino .
Many years have passed, many donkeys have been born here and others have left us, as is only natural, but not without first giving me many wonderful memories and so much experience.
Today we are still here with the same desire to let anyone who wants to know about this wonderful animal.
A donkey handler since 2018, I continue to work alongside donkeys both inside and outside my company on dedicated projects.
