Welcome! My name’s Anna Ignaccolo. After receiving my MS degree in Forestry, I spent a few years as a free lance consultant in Abruzzo (in the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise), worked as a hippotherapy assistant, and took part in a course on donkey-assisted mediation activities. Since 2007, I’ve been a hiking guide for the Sicilian hiking association Kalura. Finally, in February 2009, I started my farm with Ragusano donkeys, which were later joined by hens, ducks, and other animals. All together we’re “Il passo dell’asino” (the donkey’s pace), a farm in the heart of the Hyblaean mountains.
Our goal is to educate children and adolescents, and – more difficultly – adults to a respectful and responsible relationship to animals and land – a bond that belongs to each human being, although many seem to have forgotten that.
